Candidate response:<\/strong> Each participant will be notified regarding the status of their registration via the email address provided in the registration form.<\/p>\n

Depending on the number of candidates registered and admitted following pre-selection, the competition schedule may be subject to change during the event. We reserve the right to make changes to the program.<\/em><\/p>\n

Competition Details<\/h2>\n

The competition is organized by categories (Opera, Lied) and sections:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Opera:<\/strong> 18\u201325 years and 26\u201340 years<\/li>\n
  • Lied:<\/strong> 18\u201340 years<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Within these categories, candidates enter the competition in chronological order of age.<\/p>\n

    If a competitor arrives late due to an objective reason, the committee may decide to reschedule their performance during the same stage.<\/p>\n

    Evaluation of Contestants<\/h2>\n

    The evaluation takes place in three stages:<\/p>\n

    Stage 1 \u2014 Preselection<\/h3>\n

    1\u20137 December 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Based on video submissions, assessed by a jury of master singing teachers.<\/p>\n

    Stage 2 \u2014 Semifinals<\/h3>\n

    19\u201320 December 2026 | Vienna & Debrecen<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Based on live performances, assessed by a jury of managers and directors of opera houses and musical theatres.<\/p>\n

    Stage 3 \u2014 Finals & Gala Concert<\/h3>\n

    21 December 2026 | Csokonai National Theatre, Debrecen<\/strong><\/p>\n

    The final performances are assessed by a jury of distinguished figures in today\u2019s musical world.<\/p>\n

    Announcement of Results<\/h2>\n
      \n
    • \n 7 December 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

      Announcement of the preselection results.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n 19 and 20 December 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

      Announcement of the contestants admitted to the finals, following the conclusion of each day\u2019s semifinal.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n 21 December 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

      Announcement of the final results and presentation of the awards during the Gala Concert at the Csokonai National Theatre, Debrecen.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      \n

      Jury Evaluation & Scoring<\/h2>\n

      The jury\u2019s decisions are final. No appeals or complaints regarding the competition results will be accepted.<\/p>\n

      Each jury member awards each contestant a score of up to 100 points<\/strong> and provides brief feedback.<\/p>\n

      Scores are submitted to the jury secretary, who calculates each contestant\u2019s average score.<\/p>\n

      Jury members may not score their current or former students; in such cases, the average score of the other jury members is taken into account.<\/p>\n

      In the event of a tie, the President of the Jury<\/strong> makes the final decision.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
