4. Registration Process
Registration is completed through the online application form during the announced registration period, 12 October – 1 December 2026. Applicants must provide the information and materials required for their chosen activity, which may include:
- Personal and contact information;
- One to three video recordings, with a maximum total duration of 15 minutes;
- A portrait photograph;
- An artistic curriculum vitae, including musical education, professional experience and repertoire;
- Selection of the relevant competition category, audition, masterclass or package.
Submitting an application and paying the applicable fee does not guarantee admission to the competition semifinals, a prize, a professional engagement, or another artistic opportunity. Competition applications are assessed through preselection as described in the official guidelines. The Organizer will notify applicants of their status at the email address supplied during registration.
5. Fees and Prices
The fees applicable to the selected activity or package are displayed during registration and in the official event guidelines. Prices are shown in euros (EUR), unless otherwise stated. Before payment, the checkout will display the total amount payable, including any applicable taxes or mandatory charges.
Any conversion into the cardholder’s account currency, or fees charged by the cardholder’s bank, are governed by the card issuer’s terms.
6. Online Payments via Stripe
Online card payments are processed through Stripe, a third-party payment services provider. The Organizer does not receive or store complete payment card numbers or card security codes through the website.
By submitting a payment, the payer authorizes the charge for the selected registration, service or package. A registration or purchase is considered paid only after successful payment confirmation. If a payment fails or is interrupted, the applicant may need to retry the transaction or contact the Organizer before the registration deadline.
Payment processing may be subject to Stripe’s terms and privacy practices. A payment receipt or confirmation will be provided by the Organizer and/or payment provider, as applicable.
7. Cancellations, Withdrawals and Refunds
Under the official Application and Admission Guidelines, participation and registration fees are described as non-refundable if an applicant withdraws, is not selected for the semifinals, or does not attend. Audition and masterclass fees are likewise described as non-refundable in cases of withdrawal or non-attendance.
These provisions apply only to the extent permitted by mandatory applicable law. Nothing in these Terms excludes statutory consumer rights, including any withdrawal or refund rights that cannot lawfully be waived. Whether a statutory withdrawal exception applies depends on the specific service and circumstances.
If the Organizer cancels an activity or makes a material change that prevents the agreed service from being provided, affected participants will be informed of the available options and any refund required by applicable law.
To request assistance with a payment, cancellation or refund, contact musicum.laude@partium.ro, providing the applicant’s name, registration reference and payment date. Refunds, where due, will ordinarily be made to the original payment method.

9. Evaluation and Results
Competition selection and scoring follow the official Application and Admission Guidelines. The preselection is based on submitted recordings; subsequent stages involve live performances. Jury decisions on artistic evaluation are final within the competition’s internal procedures, without limiting any rights that cannot be excluded by law.
10. Travel and Accommodation
Unless expressly stated otherwise for a particular package, participants are responsible for arranging and paying for their own travel, accommodation and meals, as specified in the official guidelines.
11. Submitted Materials and Intellectual Property
Applicants must have the necessary rights or permissions to submit photographs, videos, recordings, biographies and other materials, and must not submit content that infringes third-party rights.
The website’s original text, branding, graphics and other protected materials may not be reproduced or used commercially without the relevant rights holder’s permission, except as permitted by law.
12. Photography, Audio, Video and Publicity
The event may be photographed, filmed or recorded. The official Application and Admission Guidelines contain provisions concerning event recordings, publicity and publication of participant information. The Organizer must provide participants with appropriate information about the purposes and legal basis for any processing of personal data, including the use of identifiable images and recordings.
Where consent is legally required, it will be requested separately and must meet applicable legal requirements. Participation in the event does not override rights granted by applicable data protection or personality-rights law.
13. Personal Data and Privacy
The Organizer processes registration and contact information, submitted application materials, participation records and payment-related transaction information to administer applications, deliver services, communicate with participants, comply with legal obligations and manage the event.
Further information about data controllers, legal bases, recipients, international transfers, retention periods and data subject rights must be provided in the website’s separate Privacy Policy. Information about non-essential cookies and similar technologies should be provided in the Cookie Policy and applicable consent interface.
14. Website Availability and External Services
The Organizer may carry out maintenance or technical updates and cannot guarantee uninterrupted website availability. The website may link to third-party websites or use external services, including Stripe, which operate under their own terms. Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be excluded by law.
15. Liability
The Organizer is responsible for its obligations to the extent required by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, personal injury or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded. Participants remain responsible for the accuracy of their submissions and for their own travel arrangements, subject to applicable law.
16. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Hungary, without depriving consumers of any mandatory protections applicable to them. Disputes should first be raised with the Organizer using the contact details above. Consumers may also have access to competent consumer protection authorities and legally available alternative dispute resolution procedures.
17. Amendments to These Terms
The Organizer may update these Terms to reflect changes in the website, event arrangements or legal requirements. The version applicable to a completed registration will not be changed retroactively to remove accrued contractual or statutory rights without a valid legal basis.
18. Official Competition Guidelines
These website Terms & Conditions supplement the Musicum Laude 2026 – Christmas Edition Application and Admission Guidelines, which provide the detailed competition categories, repertoire, selection process, fees, prizes and event-specific rules. In the event of inconsistency, mandatory applicable law takes precedence. The Organizer should clarify any conflicting contractual provisions before registration.
