Refund & Cancellation
Last updated: 12 October 2026
This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to all registrations, applications, and paid participation services associated with Musicum Laude 2026 – Christmas Edition, organized by MOL-OPER Zeneművészeti Betéti Társaság (MOL-OPER Bt.).
By registering for Musicum Laude and completing payment, applicants acknowledge the refund and cancellation conditions described below, subject to applicable consumer protection laws.
1. Registration Fees
All competition registration fees are non-refundable under the competition’s standard cancellation policy.
In particular, registration fees will not be refunded in the following circumstances:
- The applicant does not advance to the semi-finals following the preselection process.
- The applicant voluntarily withdraws from the competition.
- The applicant fails to attend the competition or any scheduled performance.
- The applicant is unable to participate for personal reasons, including travel difficulties or scheduling conflicts.
All applicants receive feedback from a voice teacher, including those who do not advance to the semi-finals.
2. Preselection and Admission
Submission of an application and payment of the registration fee do not guarantee admission to the semi-finals or finals.
Applications are evaluated by a professional jury based on the submitted video recordings and the competition’s admission requirements.
Applicants who are not selected for the semi-finals are not entitled to a refund of the registration fee under the standard competition rules.
3. Audition and Masterclass Fees
Fees paid for auditions and masterclasses are non-refundable under the organizer’s standard cancellation policy if the participant:
- Voluntarily cancels their participation.
- Withdraws after registration.
- Fails to attend the scheduled audition or masterclass.
Audition and masterclass places are limited and are allocated according to availability and the organizer’s registration procedures.
4. Promotional Packages
Promotional packages, including the Silver and Golden Packages, are subject to the same general cancellation conditions.
Where a package includes multiple services, any refund required by applicable law will be assessed according to the circumstances and the services affected.
5. Event Cancellation or Significant Changes
The organizer reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the competition schedule, locations, jury composition, or event arrangements when necessary.
If an event or paid service is cancelled by the organizer and cannot be provided, affected participants will be informed of the available options, including any refund required under applicable law.
Where a significant change prevents the agreed service from being provided, participants may contact the organizer to request an appropriate resolution.
6. Online Payments
Registration fees and other participation fees may be paid securely online using credit or debit cards through Stripe.
Payments are processed by Stripe in accordance with its applicable payment processing and security standards.
Any approved refund will normally be issued to the original payment method, where technically possible.
Refund processing times may vary depending on Stripe, the issuing bank, and the payment method.
7. Statutory Consumer Rights
Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any mandatory rights available to participants under applicable Hungarian or European Union consumer protection legislation.
Where a statutory withdrawal right or another mandatory refund entitlement applies, that right takes precedence over the standard non-refundable conditions described above.
Any applicable exceptions to statutory withdrawal rights will be assessed according to the nature of the service and the relevant legal requirements.
